Our first food distribution & workday at the new Edgemont Community Garden is tomorrow, 2/28/21! Many thanks to @ocveggieproject for organizing this and donating the soil so planting and growing can begin! Grab your gloves, mask and water--join us! Volunteers at 10 a.m., food distribution at 12 p.m.💚

We are grateful to @restorative_farms for donating 10 grow boxes (food CAN be grown OVER asphalt!) And our first 100 seedlings!💚

Many thanks to Eddie Morrison, a Free Careers Dallas 2019 graduate for laying cardboard and stone to prepare the in-ground beds!!💚

Green Careers Dallas is now the proud owner of a used 40' storage container 🙌! We are so grateful to Mac McGlover of More Than A Roof for negotiating a great deal for us and making sure it was placed just right.

Next up will be completing the perimeter fence and building the training rooftops 💚.

Stayed tuned for details on the community garden we are planning to go in around the rooftops 🌱🌾 !!
